OpenWater Solutions, LLC to Present at Nimsoft Users Conference

Nimsoft is hosting their 1st Annual Nimsoft User’s Conference in San Francisco, California on November 9th and 10th, 2005. The theme of this year’s conference is N-fluence, which is focused on sharing success stories around use of the Nimsoft product and hear about the future direction of the product.

The 1st annual conference offers an outstanding opportunity to hear from and interact directly with Nimsoft engineering leaders on exciting new features and product futures, learn how to develop completely custom displays using the new Web services API, learn about Nimsoft's vision for the future directly from the CEO, and hear compelling keynote addresses from industry luminaries; Gartner and Enterprise Management Associates.

OpenWater Solutions will be one of the speakers at this years event. Jeff Parker and Shawn Ennis from OpenWater will be presenting at the Nimsoft Users Conference in San Francisco on Thursday, November 10th, 2005 at 1:00pm. Come listen to OpenWater’s presentation titled, “Extending NimBUS with Custom Probes.”

OpenWater’s presentation will focus on sharing success stories associated with a number of custom developed Nimsoft probes. OpenWater’s objective is to show the ease and value of building additional custom probes as a superset of Nimsoft’s current set of probe offerings. These include:

OpenWater will also present two of their own internally developed solutions – Monolith Event Manager and Monolith mEscalator.

• Monolith Event Manager (aka mMOM) is an easy to use Manager of Managers Event Engine. mMOM is focused on network, server and security event management for both Enterprise and Service Provider customers. mMOM manages a heterogeneous mix of network, security and server based platforms all within a single product. mMOM is capable of processing millions of events from many disparate event sources in many different formats – trap, syslog, nteventlog, TL1 & generic log file. mMOM’s event engine processes, normalizes, correlates & responds to network & security events. The solution is customizable allowing for creation of custom rules and actions. mMOM runs on Microsoft, Linux and Unix based platforms.



• Monolith mEscalator is a web-based escalation and notification solution. This solution was originally conceived while helping a large organization to respond to problems on a 24x7 basis. mEscalator allows organizations, through a web-based GUI interface, to manage problems through both the Acknowledgement & Resolution phases, to create notification policies based upon the type of problem occurring, to build notification policies based upon time of day (Rota-based), and to build escalation trees to ensure successful notification (bi-directional capability). mEscalator integrates with leading trouble ticketing solutions as well as the majority of management solutions on the market.
